What separates our School from other Art Schools is that we believe in starting with the basics.  Before a writer can write a novel he must first learn proper grammar and spelling. Before a musician can compose a symphony, she must first learn to read notes, learn scales and understand rhythms.  We feel that the same holds true in learning to draw. Therefore, it is our mission to guide students to express their creativity on paper, by teaching them the basic elements of art - line, shape, proportion, perspective, color, light and shadow.  Students learn these basic elements through the projects they are creating.
The balanced curriculum includes a wide range of subjects and models, using diverse media and exploring such themes as animals, faces, landscapes and abstracts.
Our students acquire the knowledge necessary to perceive shape and the tools needed to translate those shapes to a flat piece of paper. Each week, the lesson plan is based on a particular theme, giving enough structure to ensure success and enough freedom for independent creativity. Students receive age appropriate, structured guidance, but each work of art that they create is completely their own.
Classes are limited to 12 students, which allows for individual attention. Sessions are offered at various times to meet a variety of needs.
Early Afternoon - for those students who would like to enrich their home school experience.
Early Wednesday Afternoon - for those students attending school in one of the school districts that have early dismissal and would like to take advantage of that extra time.
After School - various days and hours.
Evening Classes - for beginning and advance teens and adults.
