Our mission at ProActive English is to help business professionals communicate more effectively in English, we work with our program participants to instill in them a sense of responsibility. End users of ProActive English services are individuals or groups of employees who need English language training, with a focus on active listening and speaking skills, to increase effectiveness or to succeed in their jobs. |

ProActive English
ProActive English was founded in 1997. We are a web-integrated, English language and communication training provider serving multinational corporations in the U.S. and abroad. We deliver on-site, one-on-one and small group classes and Web-based courses. We also license our Web tool, The Business English Web, for training institutions who want to offer similar services. Our main office is in Portland, OR (US) and we maintain representatives in San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Tokyo and Manila.
Our programs are enhanced by our dynamic Web tool for language learning, The Business English Web. The Business English Web is available with a growing database of off-the-shelf content designed specifically for improving professional communication skills of non-native English speakers.
The Business English Web also enables organizations to integrate and customize their own language training curriculum and to deliver an on-line learning framework. The web-tool offers full audio interaction, with the ability to upload speaking and pronunciation exercises for review by a trainer or for self-guided practice. An interactive PowerPoint Presentations training module gives the The Business English Web a competitive advantage.
Our Trainers
In addition to on-site training led by Mr. Kertzner and Ms. Lyman, ProActive English maintains a growing network of Masters level English language teachers around the United States, in Japan and in the Philippines who have been trained to use ProActive English materials and the Business English Web when delivering ProActive English programs. In addition to strong qualifications, our teachers have experience in corporate settings and at least one year of living and working abroad.
