Code 3 Driving School
All our driving lessons are "one student per instructor". We, at Code 3 driving school, have found that when other students are in the car, there is a "loss of value" for the student who is learning. Driver's training can be scheduled seven days a week. We will be happy to pick-up you up and/or drop-off at school, work or home at no additional charge. You are taught residential, business and freeway driving, as well as given "practice" Drive Test to better enable you to pass the "real" DMV drive test. We encourage night driving, as well as mountain driving to round out your training experience. Code 3`s training program simulates the program that California law enforcement uses to train its personnel. This curriculum is so successful that it is required every 2 years as a refresher course. The founder of Code 3, Michael Manzie and other Code 3 staff members were instrumental in developing this curriculum. However, Code 3 has greatly expanded on law enforcement curriculum and has brought the discipline of cognitive neuroscience into its program. Code 3’s research consultant, Dr. Matthew Sharps, is a cognitive neuroscientist who has authored over 150 papers dealing with human cognition. Cognition is how the brain functions and what causes us to behave and respond in way we do. The Code 3 drivers training program is centered on developing those techniques and methods that will prevent collisions, and ensuring that the operator will apply these successfully during a vehicle emergency. Based on experience with the Code 3 drivers training program, Michael Manzie has developed the “Open Space” theory. This theory defines neurologically and in a mathematical model why accidents occur and the methods we can use to train ourselves, and our children to prevent accidents. Manzie`s “Open Space” theory is receiving national attention as a preventative measure to accident problems. Code 3 offers: a completely new training system for beginning drivers using the latest cutting-edge instructional methods. driver`s training curriculum tailored to each student's own learning style. dedicated professionals who focus on really teaching students how to "safely drive" not just how to pass a test. proven techniques and methods that have already saved countless lives. 1-to-1, student-to-instructor ratio. an instructor trained to stringent law enforcement standards (many Code 3 instructors are law enforcement officers). 8+ hours of actual simulated vehicle emergency training is above and beyond the required training.
