A & R Driving School
Our Goals:
Give our clients the knowledge and skills to obtain and maintain a drivers license.
Teach good defensive driving skills to maintain safe driving practices.
Give teen drivers a sound base to begin their driving future.
Help with the renewal or reissue of a driving license.
Adults:
We give private instruction, only you and the instructor in the car, no other students. You may be picked-up or dropped-off at home, work or school, which ever is most convenient for you, at no extra charge.
Teens:
According to statistics, teenage drivers get more tickets and are in more accidents than other drivers. It is for these reasons that state law requirements for teen drivers age 15 to 17 12 are in place.
After receiving the license, teenagers have new restrictions for the first year.
What are the restrictions?
During the first 6 months as a licensed drive the teen must be accompanied by their parent or guardian, or a licensed driver age 25 or over when driving between the hour of midnight and 5:00 A.M., or when transporting people under the age of 20.
The second six months, one of the previous restrictions are lifted; parental supervision is no longer required during the hours of 5:00 A.M. to midnight. Supervision between the hours of midnight and 5:00 A.M. is still in effect.
The 6 Hour Behind-the-Wheel Course will involve the following: steering control, braking and accelerating, right and left turns, lane changes, reversing, freeway driving and much more
the 6 hour course is the basic beginners package for teens and not enough to make a good driver and that's why the previous laws mention are enforced.
We offer behind-the-wheel instructor to clients with disabilities and restore their confidence to maneuver through traffic safely. We give instructions to our disabled clients in fully equipped cars. A standard car with hand controls and left gas pedal in available.
