Teenagers Driver Education course sets the foundation for behind-the-wheel drivers training and is in accordance with the guidelines set by the department of education and DMV. Upon successful completion, students will receive a certificate of completion and will be eligible to take the Provisional Instruction permit test at the DMV.
As of 1-1-04, the minimum age to receive a permit is now 15 . Each applicant will also need to provide proof of completion of Driver Education and proof of enrollment in Driver Training.
Once the student passes the permit test, they must have their first professional driving lesson before it becomes valid. After that lesson, then they will be able to drive with anyone 25 yrs. or older with a valid California Drivers License.
Tri-Valley Driving School’s driver education course is fun and enjoyable. This course consists of short lectures, games, videos, class discussions, dittos, worksheets, quizzes, tests, and more!
Tri-Valley’s Driver Training program consists of 6 hours of professional behind-the-wheel instruction. For your convenience this course is divided into three lessons, two hours each. Students will learn basic driving skills to operate a motor vehicle safely, proper driving techniques, and will prepare them to pass the DMV drive test. We offer free home, school or work pick-up and return. Lessons are offered Monday thru Saturday (mornings, afternoon, and evenings).
Upon completion of course, students will receive a certificate of completion as required by the DMV. Students will also receive an evaluation form for their parents that will indicate which specific driving task areas need improvement.
All Tri-Valley Driving Instructors are licensed by the Department of Motor Vehicles of California and have successfully completed a 60 hour training course approved by the DMV. You will see that all of our instructors are friendly, patient, professional and proficient. All instructors carry their credentials with them when teaching behind-the-wheel lessons.
