Yveta Suchomel, L.Ac., founder of YS Acupuncture, has been in the medical profession over 17 years. She has earned Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Currently, she is licensed By California Acupuncture Board and has her YS Acupuncture practice located in Torrance, California.
The birth of acupuncture dates back to approximately 5,000 years ago and evolved into a complete holistic medical system. Over the millennia, acupuncturists have used this holistic system to diagnose and treat people in a safe and effective way. Acupuncture works to regulate the flow of qi “vital life energy” by inserting fine, sterile needles at particular points of the body. For some people, the insertion of needles goes unnoticed, while others feel the sensation of ache, tingling or spreading warmth. A sense of relaxation usually accompanies a treatment.
