As a rule of thumb, we are looking for donations of any books that create knowledge and learning about our world, ourselves and our community. |

Amicus Books invites the Yuba City Marysville community to tap into the wealth of knowledge obtained through reading. By offering a plethora of diverse subjects, we open an avenue for everyone to expand & develop their own individual interests. We are also focused on becoming a reliable resource for our community's educators, social workers, parents & students.

Our names are Kara & James Davis, otherwise known as JnK. We were both raised here in the Yuba Sutter area. Our passions are each other, our family, and in general, people. We realize that every community is literally built from human relationships - it is our experience, that in order to build a better present for our community, we focus our energies on what makes our relationships more enriching, more connected, & more respectful.
At Amicus Books our number one goal is to provide not only information for our community, but a forum for artistic expression through writing and speech. We are therefore very involved in providing constant free literary activities for the Marysville Yuba City community. These activities include weekly poetry readings and discussions, author signings, writers workshops, bookclubs, and teen activities. Donations toward the Literary Arts provide the extra financial help to keep these activities and events going.
