Tolosa Winery
Tolosa Vineyard. The tradition at Tolosa is the commitment to evoke the natural sophistication inherent in the grapes in the Edna Valley. We focus on Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah varietals that yield the most intense results under our growing conditions. We follow a slow handcrafting process that nurtures the wine through periodic gentle racking and minimal filtration. And we allow nature to determine the character of each vintage. This is the way California’s winemaking heritage first began, and this is the way it will always be at Tolosa.
We offer Wines: Chardonnay, No-Oak Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Viognier, Rosé Wine, Late Harvest Legacy, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Merlot, Petite Sirah, Grenache, Heritage Blend.
Tolosa Winery is dedicated to providing guests with unique and memorable experiences:
- Wine & Cheese Pairings. Every Saturday, Tolosa is offering a flight of four wines paired with four cheeses. Guests can enjoy this experience either on our patio or in our Heritage Room overlooking the Edna Valley.
- Vineyard to the Bottle Experience. At our state-of-the-art tasting room, Tolosa has installed a free, innovative, self-guided wine tour that takes guests through every step of the winemaking process. The tour begins outside, on the patio overlooking the Edna Ranch Vineyards and the crush pad, and finishes inside the contemporary tasting room overlooking the tank room. Each easy to understand station is modeled after those used in national parks and illustrates the winemaking process from fermentation to the bottle.
- Sensory Guides. Each month we feature a different sensory evaluation for one of our estate grown wines. Come and test your senses and explore all the aromas and flavors that are brought out in each glass of wine.
Tolosa Tasting Room. Come experience one of the most interesting and innovative tasting rooms, not only in Edna Valley, but in all of California. Year-round we feature a sensory evaluation bar. Each month a new wine is selected and we fill several glasses with different aromas that are commonly found in the featured wine. It is a great way to learn how to pick-up different aromas found in varietals. Every Saturday during the summer Tolosa is offering a reserve flight tastings in the Heritage Room where they can sit-down and relax enjoying Tolosa estate wines. Each Saturday will feature a different flight of wines, varing from a flight of Pinot Noir, to a Rhone style flight or even a vertical flight from our library.
Wine Club. The Heritage Wine Society is designed to be different. Members are a priority and we want you to feel that way when you are part of our wine club. The Tolosa Heritage Wine Society offers exclusively to club members, themed parties, educational seminars, wine and food pairings, access to live web cam presentations and priority for limited production wines.
