Silverlake Wine offer wines that we think are enlightening, affordable, rare, conversation pieces, one of a kind, practical, culinary. Absinthe, American Whiskey, Apéritif, Bitters, Cognac & Brandy, Gin, Liqueurs, Rum, Scotch, Tequila, Vodka.
Whether it is wine to go with Chinese take-out, a special gift, dinner party wine, or a large wedding, we are more than happy to use our restaurant background “expertise” to help select the perfect wine for any occasion.
Silverlake Wine is owned and operated by George Cossette, Randy Clement and April Langford.
We currently have three weekly tastings:
- Sundays - This is the most structured of the three tastings. There are four featured wines plus one aperitif. Each wine is paired with an hors d'oeuvre that will complement the wine and /or represent the region that is featured. The Sunday tasting also includes an informative presentation and an opportunity to ask questions.
- Blue Monday - Blatant Low Key Relaxation. We open three distinctly different wines and serve cheese from the Cheese Store of Silverlake (Sunset Junction).
- Thursday night flights - A flight consists of a sampling of three wines of a particular category (it may be a grape, a wine maker or a region) to compare and contrast. We offer both red and white flights.

Gift Boxes. We have beautiful Silverlake Wine gift boxes and plenty of boutique, small production wine and spirits to put inside them.
- The Absinthe Box. One cannot successfully leave planet earth without their supply kit. So if you or a loved one wish to embark on this recently legalized journey, we have the “luggage” that holds the tickets to the flight.
- The Scotch Box. Cigar smoke filled parlor. Mahogany. Taxidermy. Oversized plush dark leather chairs. Luscious brown juice. And glasses to put it in. Silverlake Wine has the last sentence, all the other stuff is up to you.
- The Sazerac Box. The complete Sazerac cocktail in one gift box. Each Silverlake Wine Sazerac Gift Box includes all necessary items to bring Bourbon Street to your Street. Complete with a handwritten recipe instructing how to construct this New Orleans classic cocktail.
