As I brought my mother and son to this country I needed to earn more than a salesperson in a jewelry store. A few years later, I got the opportunity. I have always enjoyed fashion and clothing and, having met some people in the business, I began the plans to open a store. I found a location in a building which has always been a favorite place of mine to shop, the Brentwood Gardens. With help form a friend, one of the great commercial real estate brokers, I was able to negotiate the lease for what is now Gaia.
